Samsung is preparing for an official launch of this year’s Galaxy A series, and it seems like we are up for refreshed camera islands, at least on the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56. The latest leak revealed these three phones’ accessories – screen protectors and clear, rugged, or silicone cases.
The full set of leaked renders can be found here.
Leaks for the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56 have been coming in hot. And it’s not just leaks from tipsters, Samsung also accidentally contributed by prematurely adding its incoming mid-rangers to a support page. While we’ve already seen renders of the three models, a new leak gives us a look at something we haven’t seen yet — accessories.
A separate leak meanwhile claimed Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 will not get a price increase compared with their predecessors.
According to the source, a 128 GB version of the Galaxy A26 will cost $299, while the same option for the Galaxy A36 will be $399.
The front display retains a waterdrop notch for the front-facing camera, accompanied by thick bezels and a noticeable chin.

On the back, the phone features a redesigned camera island housing three vertically aligned cameras and an LED flash. Unlike its predecessor’s individual camera rings, the new unified design resembles premium models like the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The dimensions, 164 x 77.5 x 7.7mm (9.7mm including the camera bump), suggest that the phone is taller and wider than the Galaxy A25. Its sides are flat, but the area around the power and volume buttons, dubbed ‘Key Island’, slightly protrudes for better usability.
Display
Android Headlines also expects the phone to feature a 6.64-inch flat screen, an upgrade from the 6.5-inch display on the A25.
While the panel type and resolution haven’t been confirmed, it will likely be an AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution, a standard for mid-range Samsung devices.

Despite these improvements, the waterdrop notch and thick bezels give the phone a dated look compared to rivals offering punch-hole displays.
Performance
According to Geekbench listing, the Galaxy A26 will be powered by the Exynos 1280 chipset, codenamed S5E8825.
This processor features two Cortex-A78 CPU cores clocked at 2.6GHz (an improvement from the standard 2.4GHz) and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz.
The Galaxy A36 5G is rumored to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 6.6-inch AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera and a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at up to 45 watts. The remaining technical specifications are unclear at this point. Meanwhile, the more affordable Galaxy A26 5G sports a similar design, but with significantly thicker bezels and a notch instead of a punch-hole, which arguably makes it look a bit cheaper at first glance.
The cheaper model also lacks the subtle color gradients of the Galaxy A36 5G, which change slightly when looking at the phone from different angles. Apart from the fact that the display will probably be slightly larger than its predecessor at 6.6 inches, the specifications of the Galaxy A26 5G remain unknown as well. Both new Samsung Galaxy A smartphones are expected to be released this March.
